The duration of the loan is two months except for the Personal Solar Telescope (PST) which is a duration of one month. This will spread the use of the telescopes to as many members as possible.

These telescopes are available by sending a
Telescope Request. The Equipment Manager is responsible for inspecting the telescopes to ensure that they are in proper working order prior to lending them out as well as examining them upon return. The pickup and drop off location is Robinson Rd Observatory.

Members who borrow a telescope are responsible for returning it in good condition and, other than normal wear and tear. A fine will be charged for damages and missing parts. In the event that the telescope is stolen, lost or damaged beyond repair a fee of up to $350 will be charged to replace the telescope at current market prices.
