The Peterborough Astronomical Association is a group of people from Peterborough, Ontario and surrounding area who love space and viewing the night sky.

Join our growing membership today and enjoy the camaraderie of regular meetings and night sky observing sessions, keep up-to-date with our monthly newsletter, and access member-only perks like borrowing books, DVDs, and telescopes from our extensive inventory.

Observing nights are held at one of several private observatories owned by a club member or associate. Observing nights are the Friday nearest New Moon. The public is invited. In case of cloudy weather on Friday, the following Saturday will be the back-up session. The host observatory calls the ‘go’ or ‘no go’ on weather – smart people call in advance. Please check the Schedule of Events for dates, times, locations and phone numbers.
