The Peterborough Astronomical Association is a group of people from Peterborough, Ontario and surrounding area who love space and viewing the night sky.

Join our growing membership today and enjoy the camaraderie of regular meetings and night sky observing sessions, keep up-to-date with our monthly newsletter, and access member-only perks like borrowing books, DVDs, and telescopes from our extensive inventory.

Monthly observing nights, for members only, are held at one of several private observatories owned by a club member or associate. Observing nights are the Friday nearest New Moon. In case of cloudy weather on Friday, the following Saturday will be the back-up session. The host observatory calls the ‘go’ or ‘no go’ on weather – smart people call in advance. Please check the Observing Schedule for dates, times, locations and phone numbers.

Public observing sessions are also held and all are welcome to attend. Check the Special Events Schedule for dates, times and locations. Join us and check out the night, and daytime, skies.
