Come
stargazing in the Kawarthas!

The Peterborough Astronomical Association is a group of people from Peterborough, Ontario and surrounding areas who have a love and appreciation of the space that surrounds us. We also have an interest and a passion for viewing and preserving the night sky. As well, we enjoy observing celestial events that occur during the day!
Join
our growing membership today and enjoy the camaraderie of regular meetings
and night sky observing sessions, keep up-to-date with our monthly newsletter,
and access member-only perks like borrowing books, DVDs, and telescopes
from our extensive inventory.
The club meets the first Friday of every month, except for July and August, at the Orientation Building in the Riverside Park and Zoo. Public observing session are sometimes held at Armour Hill Memorial Park, above the Peterborough Museum and Archives. For more information and current scheduling of public events and meetings, please check the Special Events and Meeting schedules. Please come out and visit us at our meetings or public observing sessions as they are free and new comer friendly. You don't need any experience, own special equipment or have previous knowledge about the night sky or astronomy. We are here to help you start to learn and explore the universe that is in your own backyard and in the heavens above!
